Chinatown
San Francisco's Chinatown is the oldest Chinese enclave in North America, officially covering 24 square blocks in downtown between the Financial District and North Beach. Grant Avenue draws visitors with its painted balconies and souvenir shops, while Stockton Street runs on a different clock entirely, serving the neighborhood's working Cantonese community with live seafood tanks, roast duck windows, and produce stalls that spill onto the sidewalk.
