Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood
Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood is Dubai's most intact pre-oil residential quarter, a compact labyrinth of mud-brick courtyard houses, wind towers, and narrow shaded lanes along Dubai Creek in Bur Dubai. Covering roughly 38,000 square metres, it holds the city's oldest fort, a cluster of small museums, and some of the most considered gallery spaces in the UAE. It offers a rare counterpoint to the glass-and-steel Dubai that dominates most postcards.
